My Painting #23 - Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days - January 2014 Challenge

Here is my painting for Day #23.  I went back to looking at my art books for inspiration because I wanted to paint a Vase Face.  I chose Van Gogh's painting of Tournesols. Aout 1888. Sunflowers.  I don't think that I will ever stop painting my Vase Faces because I have SO much fun with them.

I really like the colors he chose with that painting of his.  I like the seafoam green color with the mustard yellow - it's a soothing look.

Hope you enjoy today's painting.

Happy Painting!  Cheers!  and ... Break a Bristle.

Joan

  1. LOVE! I hope you never stop painting your Vase faces! So glad they bring you joy, because I smile each time I see them! These colors are fabulous! This lady looks like she is at the end of one of those days. Her "hair" is a bit ruffled, and she is looking forward to getting home and kicking off her shoes. Pity the fool who messes with her now.

    1. I second that "ugh!!!", I have been drawing and re-drawing princesses. Haven't really started the frogs, yet. I'm hoping to post the results over the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed! Good luck with your Princess and Frog, too :) :)
