My Painting #20 - Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days - January 2014 Challenge

My goodness we are on Day 20 of the 30 in 30 challenge.  It sure is going by fast.  And what a busy day today, too.

Here is my painting for today.  I was having fun just playing around with lots of swirl lines!

A couple close ups to view the lines:

Happy Painting!  Cheers!   and... Break a Bristle.

  2. Joan, what a surprise! I love drawing with swirls, (my name starts with one, hello :). This is so different from your previous works. You sort of blew me away when I opened this. Very cool! I can see a face in here too. You captured it on your 2nd close up. Hint of an eye, a big smile, teeth and a red lip. If you look at the painting as a whole, you will even see an ear and her curly hair behind.
OK, so that's just me being a geek. This is a happy Henrietta tree. BEE-U-TEE-FULL!

    1. Hooray! I can see the face too - in that second photo! Man - do you ever have an eye for details!!! Yeah, I love trying all sorts of ways to draw, paint, create...hopefully something will form my own style ... but until then the world is my oyster! :) Thanks again for visiting, I love chatting with ya! Have fun with Day #22.

  4. Oh my gosh! This is very beautiful Joan! Is that a candle that I see standing in the midst of the tree? It may be just a yellow swirl, but it kind of looks like a flicker of light with the truck of the tree as the base of the candle. I don't know if this was accidental or on purpose, but it's really cool! Very nice work, Joan!

    1. Hi Samara,
Geeze! Thanks for pointing that 'candle' out. I never saw it while painting...but I surely see it now...that does look cool. And thank you for all your very kind and supportive words. Hope you are having a fun day! Enjoy Day #23.
