My Painting #16 - Leslie Saeta's 30 Paintings in 30 Days - January 2014 Challenge

Here is my painting for Day #16 of Leslie Saeta's painting challenge.

I decided to paint another 3D FACEt using smaller canvases for the eyes, nose and mouth.  The FACEt's are one of my daughter's favorites.  She thinks they are "cool and unique".

This is my Jackson Pollock inspired FACEt.

Here is another view:

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you enjoyed today's painting.

It's almost TGIF!!

Happy Painting! Cheers! and Break a Bristle.

    1. Thanks, Stacy. I was in a small painting slump! Didn't know what to paint, so I just did another FACEt. This one was quick and easy! :) Thank you for your visits!!

  3. Joan, I know I have asked you this before, but what do you use to attach your little canvases?

    1. I'm trying a non-toxic extra strength glue by Elmers. Keep your fingers crossed it works. :)

  4. I knew it was Pollock right off. Great palette, and I love the expression!! Great texture in the background. I love the light you left in. Looking at this, it almost has, I was going to say a 3-D effect. (DUH) There is a lot of depth of field in the background, I am trying to figure out how you did that. And on the left, I see a 2nd face. A profile. There is an eye, a wisp of hair, lips and a strong chin. A gentleman friend? Really awesome work Joan....

  5. Hi Sheila,

I'm looking for that second face?? I'll keep looking, can't find it yet. You see it on the left, huh? Ok...I will look in more detail.

It's always fun looking at designs and seeing 'pictures' that aren't the main focus! I love doing that. It's like looking up at the clouds. (Which I enjoy doing a lot).

Thanks for your comments! I always love to read what you write. I enjoy your visits. Have fun with Day #17.
