Lady of the Lake - Work in Progress

Here is a new painting that I started a couple of days ago while continuing to add layer upon layer!  It is a work in progress because more layers are needed, in addition to the layers, I need to tone down the outline around her face. 

She kinda just appeared onto the painting emerging from a lake!  Hence the title:  "Lady of the Lake".

  5. oh joan, i LOVE her!! the colors, the flowers, the way you've done the water...

    yep, that's a new header photo. i *needed* one! i was tired of the other! and yeah, there are a lot of gorgeous candy wrappers these days. the one in the post was like the kind of art paper you buy in sheets at art supply store. it's so easy to forget that we can paint on anything! sometimes i remember and get going on painting on all kinds of stuff. ; )
